Lummis catch about 28 percent of spilled fish

Six aspects of tribal response are initiated BELLINGHAM — The Lummi Nation reports that its fishing fleet has now removed 43,522 Atlantic salmon from Salish Sea waters in response to the invasive fish spill from pens belonging to Cooke Aquaculture on Cypress Island Aug. 19. That’s about 28 percent of the total non-native fish released….
