FERNDALE — Disney is one of the most successful and recognizable companies in the world today, and the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce is bringing the company to Ferndale to teach its businesses keys to success.

The Disney Institute will brings its Business Excellence seminar to Ferndale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at Pioneer Pavilion.

The Institute last traveled to Ferndale from headquarters in Florida six years ago. Audrey Audette, the chamber’s events and program coordinator, said the institute’s seminar was so successful back then that the chamber decided to bring it back in 2018.

“It went really well, so we’re excited to have it back,” Audette said.

At the seminar, the Disney Institute teaches the five pillars upon which the company has built success: leadership, culture, brand, innovation and service. It teaches businesses to bring together and combine these pillars to find success.

“They teach you to adapt those specifically to your business,” Audette said.

Audette said that this program counts for eight continuing education credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
