Bill and Billie Harriman of Lynden were married on Jan. 14, 1956, at the Chapel of the Flowers in Bellevue, Washington. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house planned by their daughters on Dec. 13, 2015, then followed with a family dinner at Anthony’s. Bill and Billie are both retired from the Ferndale School District. Their daughters are Linda and husband Paul Clampitt of Plano, Texas, and Kimberley and husband Darren Bailey of Lynden. They have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The couple attributes their lasting marriage to putting God first and having each other as best friends.
