Republic Services, Inc., 54 South Dawson Street, in Seattle WA, is seeking modification of coverage under the Washington Department of Ecology’s NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activities at the industrial site, known as Ferndale Intermodal Facility located at 1524 Slater Road in Ferndale.
Activities requiring permit modification include those taking place at the adjacent transfer station: Republic Services of Washington’s Regional Disposal Center (RDC) Ferndale. RDC Ferndale was previously leased by Republic Services Inc., functioning under a different NPDES Industrial Stormwater General Permit (permit). With the recent purchase of the property, the transfer station and its associated activities will be managed through the intermodal facility’s existing permit.
