Anna Biemold

Anna Nydam Biemold passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, in her home. God took her home gently. She was born on Dec. 21, 1951, in Artesia, California, to Frank and Katrina (DeJong) Nydam. She was the fifth of six children that included Dick, Earl, Alfred, Geraldine and Kathleen. Anna attended Valley Christian High School all 12 years. She married Al Biemold on May 5, 1976.

After their marriage they moved to Lynden and together they started Biemold Livestock Hauling. They also brought Zachariah and Joshua Biemold into the world. They worked hard to build their business. Al drove truck and Anna worked hard in the barn feeding calves. She loved the farm and was proud of the life she and Al made for their family.

Anna loved Jesus and faithfully attended Christ the King in Bellingham and later North Bay in Birch Bay. She recently enjoyed taking her grandson Bradley to church. She was a good example of a Christian woman in the ways she would serve. She was always ready to lend a hand or an ear to listen. She was a good friend and enjoyed helping others.

She was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed taking care of Zack and Josh and their friends Ken and Steve Davis, Dan Pike, Travis Sowers and all the gang. She in recent years was enjoying her grandkids, Bradley and Colton. She was a wonderful mother to Cheryl D’Ettorre and Daniel Biemold. She had a lot of grandkids to spoil: Kyle, Karen, Kelly, Kristen and Kevin; and great-grandson Reed. She will be greatly missed by her brothers, Dick (Geri) and Earl (Pat); and sisters Kathleen Nydam and Geraldine Nydam.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and brother Alfred.

Anna was the sweetest, most kindhearted person. She was thoughtful of others. She was adventurous and fun-loving. She had a robust laugh and was a facilitator of good times. She loved crafts, photography and gardening. Anna was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan. She was a voracious reader and loved her book club. She enjoyed attending Bible studies and loved to worship and sing praise songs. She was ready to meet her Savior.

A visitation and viewing time was held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, in Gillies Funeral Home. Please see Anna’s online guest book at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2015, at the Camels Club, 216 Main St., Lynden.

Arrangements were entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lynden.
