Etta’s Attic starts 1st anniversary sale

FERNDALE — The owner Etta’s Attic antique mall has announced today is the beginning of a two-week sale to celebrate the business’s first anniversary in downtown Ferndale.

Sharon Quast said all 16 current venders have agreed to offer sale pricing for a least two weeks starting May 1. A few might even continue the celebration until the end of May.

Quast, a long-time antique dealer, moved into the space at 2009 Main Street last year with the goal of offering big variety in the relatively small business space. The response, she said, couldn’t have been better.

“Ferndale has been very kind to us,” Quast said. “The dealers have done well.”

Quast leases the space and sublets to a manageable number of venders. The result is a broad collection of products that includes costume jewelry sterling jewelry, “man cave” items and antique furniture.

Right now is a good time to celebrate, Quast said, partly because the store is so full.

“The dealers are really bringing it and we are really stocked,” she said. “It’s so cool in here right now. I wish I had twice as much space — its a long waiting list for use of the space.”
