Jerry Silves went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.
Jerry was born on Dec. 6, 1947, in Bellingham. He graduated in 1966 from Nooksack Valley High School, where he met the love of his life, Darlene Wells. They were married in Sumas on July 28, 1967.
Jerry’s love and dedication to his family were anchored in his faith in the Lord. He showed his love for others by using the gifts God gave him.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters Tracy (Mike) and Laura (Sam); nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy Carlson and Mary Wells.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Silves; his parents Jordan and Elaine Silves; and a sister, Sharon Holtz.
The Celebration of Life for Jerry will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, in Christ Fellowship Church, 1208 E. Main St., Everson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Goshen Community Church or Whatcom Hospice House.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
