Judy Lynn Calkins, of Lynden, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 16 at the age of 72, surrounded by her kids. Judy was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne E. Hagins and Marjorie E. Lyle; husbands Lay Roy DeBerry and Dale Eugene Calkins; sister Sue Booker; and son Lee Roy Jr.
She is survived by her siblings Jimmie, Pam and Darla; kids Bernadette, Zachary, Jacob and Jennifer; grandkids Marcus, Kaylee, Jaiden, Lee, Taneil, Calob, Nathan and Mariah.
Judy’s love for her children and grandchildren and friends was clearly evident in her words of “I love you” and willingness to help out her friends.
Judy was a lifelong Elvis fan and made it clear to all that she was.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan 18, in Second Christian Reformed Church of Lynden.
