PROJECT LOCATION: City-wide in specified zones – Residential Multifamily Medium (RMM), Single Family Dwelling Medium (RS Medium), Single Family Dwelling High (RS High) and Mixed Use Commercial (MXD).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Manufactured home communities were previously permitted in the Highway Commercial (HC) zone. The HC zone has been replaced with the General Business (GB) zone. The GB zone is primarily intended for commercial use and not for residential development; therefore, the City of Ferndale is proposing to amend Ferndale Municipal Code 18.60 to allow the development of new manufactured home communities within the RMM, RS Medium, RS-High and MXD zones. There are no proposed projects at this time.
REQUESTED ACTION(S):
The City of Ferndale requests that the Planning Commission recommend approval of the zoning text amendment to the City Council.
