Lori Carl

  Lori J. Carl, 57, of Blaine, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 28, 2018, with her family by her side. She was known for her unending love, courage and complete stubbornness.

  Lori was born April 4, 1961 in Bellingham to Melvin Eugene and Janet (Shetler) Lambert. She graduated with honors from Nooksack Valley High School in 1979. She attended college in California to complete her accounting degree.

  After high school, she married William Berry Carl and took to the role of motherhood raising their only child, Tanya Carl.

  Lori’s interests included her family, gardening, cooking, baking, socializing with her many friends, helping others in need, and listening to music while she cared with charisma for her home. Her charm and smile would enlighten any giving moment.

  Lori enjoyed her job at Birch Bay Business Park for more than 22 years. Going to work was a highlight of her day. She treated everyone as friend and family and would go above and beyond for anyone in need. Her co-workers and boss were like family and she cared deeply for them.

  Lori was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Lambert.

  She is greatly missed by daughter Tanya Carl and fiancé Bryan Martens and their two children, Jade and Kai Martens; one great-grandson, Blake Owen; her mother, Janet Lambert; brothers Jay (Norma) Lambert and their three children, Steve (Darla) Lambert and their five children and seven great-grandchildren, and Michael (Nancy) Lambert and their three boys; and numerous other relatives and friends.

  You are invited to join family and friends for a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in Sumas Cemetery with Pastor Delaine Bailey officiating.
