Michael ‘Mike’ Weidkamp

Mike Weidkamp, 72, of Salome, Arizona (previously Burlington and Ferndale), died unexpectedly of respiratory failure.

Born Feb. 23, 1951. Died March 7, 2023.

Son of John and Althea. Weidkamp. Meridian High School class of 1969.

Mike served in the U.S.Air Force in Florida, then attended Everett Community College, where he met and married Dorothy McNeal. They lived in Burlington before moving to Salome in 2019.

They celebrated their 50th anniversary in February 2023.

Mike is survived by his wife, Dorothy; mother, Althea; sons Mike (Jenifer), Bill; brother Darryl (Anita); sisters Lynette (Scott) Dickerson and Eileen (Doc) Beck, and numerous family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, John.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. May 6 at Valley Community Church, 800 E. Rio Vista, Burlington, with lunch following.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Neptune Society.
