Robert Kipper

Robert Michael Kipper was the beloved husband of Jan, devoted father to Katie, Julie and stepdaughter Lindsay, and loving grandfather to Lukey.

Bob passed away peacefully in the morning of Sept. 7, 2018, after enduring a four-year battle with cancer. He fought the good fight. Bob was a kind man who loved trains and his friends, and who had many happy memories of time spent riding on one with them. He enjoyed history, especially American and British history. He loved to share what he knew with anyone who expressed an interest. There were many lively debates, discussions, sometimes even arguments between him and his friends. Winston Churchhill was his hero.

His other three passions in life were the Washington Huskies (Go Dawgs!), his model train set that he spent over 50 years building, designing and tinkering with (Go Great Northern); and any time spent in the mountains. He loved to hike, camp and just be still.

He is survived by his wife, Jan; daughters Katie and Julie; his stepdaughter Lindsay; the joy of his life, grandson Lukey; brother Jimmy and wife Venus; and nephews Jeff (Kenzie), David, Andy (Karen) and their families.

Bob was preceded in death by brothers Richard in 2010 and Johnny in 2016. He will be missed by the people who loved him and the lives he touched whilst on his journey.
