Rochelle ‘Shelly’ Lea Murray
Rochelle Lea Murray “Shelly” entered her eternal rest on Nov. 30, 2022, at the age of 69. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Shelly was born Dec. 8, 1952, to Nicholas and Bonita (Hanowell) Jansen. She was the youngest of six children. Shelly graduated from Meridian High School.
Shelly loved being a Nana to her two grandchildren. They meant the world to her and loved them dearly.
Shelly spent many years caring for her mother and running errands and being a chauffeur to her.
She enjoyed baking and canning fruit and vegetables out of her garden.
Shelly was known for going the extra mile when cleaning for her clients, they almost became a part of her family.
Shelly is survived by her son, John Murray, Jr.; her two grandchildren Dixi Lee and Hunter Murray; and many extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to join Shelly‘s graveside service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Monumenta cemetery in Lynden.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
