Shirley Hardy

Picture 1  Shirley L Hardy, age 84, of Everson, passed away on July 15, 2016. She was born on June 20, 1932, to Bowman and Dove Rouse in Grand Junction, Colorado.
  Shirley worked as an LPN nurse and was a fabulous cook. She assisted her husband, Jerry, with log truck driving and dairy farming. Everyone enjoyed her love of cooking as much as she enjoyed keeping everyone well fed. Her grandchildren were the true joy of her life. She was well known for her fun-loving personality, selfless generosity and kindness to family and friends.
  Shirley is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jerald Hardy, of the family home; sons Rodney Dodge and wife Mel, and Bob Dodge and wife Carri; daughters Kathy Varner (Dodge) and husband John and Kerry Nanninga (Dodge) and husband Dave; brothers Dean Rouse and Dennis Rouse; sister Bonnie Worden; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
  Shirley was preceded in death by her twin brother, Bill Rouse, and two brothers, Donald and Gary Rouse.
  In memory of Shirley Hardy, memorials are greatly appreciated and may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Society of Washington, 1308 Meador Ave. Suite C1, Bellingham, WA 98229.
  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, July 21, 2016, in Gillies Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, in Ten Mile Cemetery on Ten Mile Road.
