Steave Webb

  The Lord took the hand of Steave Glenn Webb (Mick), 72, of White Oak, Texas, on April 26, 2019, and led him to his heavenly home.

  Mick was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Dick and Lillian Beatrice Webb. Mick graduated from high school in Hobbs and went on to college for a year and a half before volunteering to serve his country by joining the U.S. Navy. His service took him to the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, he met the love of his life, Violet Evea Weidkamp, and they were married Oct. 28, 1967 in Lynden. Mick worked for SWEPCO installing meters until his retirement. Mick was a proud lifetime member of VFW Post 1183, Vietnam Veterans of America and Masonic Lodge #1396 in Pine Tree.

  Mick is survived by his wife, Violet (Vi) Webb, of White Oak; daughters Sheri Hallman of Florida, Tia West (Chris) of Clinton, Missouri, Mikki Reed (Jimmy) of Liberty City; grandchildren Jacob Reed of Liberty City, Coltin Reed of Liberty City, Rhange West of Clinton, Ainsley West of Clinton, and Kasyn Reed of Liberty City; sister Billie Jo Cameron of Winnsboro, Texas; brother Richard Webb (Linda) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

  Mick was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Clifford Dyer; and sisters Margie Beth Flores and June Webb.

  Services to celebrate his life were held on Monday, April 29, in the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, with chaplain Lawrence Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the New White Oak Cemetery.
