Lillian Larson

Lillian Marie (Burma) Larson, age 98, passed away at the Christian Health Care Center of Lynden on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.

Lillian was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Wilmot, South Dakota, to Renke and Elizabeth (Keer) Burma. The family moved to the Lynden area in 1935 where she attended Lynden High School and met her future husband, Burt Larson. They graduated in 1938 and were married on Jan. 17, 1940.

Lillian retired from McLain Drug and enjoyed many trips to Hawaii and camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Burt and grandson Tony Sealund.

She is survived by her daughters Shirley (Lee) Jones of Mount Vernon and Mary Sealund of Conway, South Carolina; grandsons Tim (Beth) Jones and Todd (Jennifer) Jones; granddaughter Tina (Josh) Haynes; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. A heartfelt thank-you to the nurses and aids in the CHCC Mt. Baker North unit for the care and love you gave to mom. You are special!

You are invited to honor Lillian’s life at her 1 p.m. graveside service on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 in Lynden Cemetery followed by a light reception in Grace Baptist Fellowship, 338 North Park St., Lynden, WA with pastor Bill Cummins officiating.
