Linda Klander

Linda Klander passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017 at her home, with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born in Phoenix, Arizona on Feb. 2, 1954 to Wilbur and Doris Kurz. She attended Nooksack Valley schools and was a strong athlete. Linda met Jon Klander, fell in love, and married on Nov. 21, 1970. Together they raised four children on the family farm, built a reputable meat cutting business, and drove truck across the country for 10 years.

Linda loved with all her heart, worked harder than any woman we know and cooked the most wonderful meals. When she had free time, she spent it baking with grandkids, canning, gardening, crocheting, and fishing. Linda had an open-door policy at her home and all were welcome. She would invite anyone that did not have a place to be that night or holiday, there was always a piece of pie and a place at the table.

Linda is survived by her husband Jon of 47 years; children Toni (Brandon) Miller, Ernie (Jeanie) Klander, Bobbie (Shawn) Boyer, Galen (Missy) Klander and 16 grandchildren; brothers Eugene Kurz, Don (Vickie) Kurz, and sister Carole (Ward) Larsen.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Oleksuk.

Linda’s last wish was that her family all get together for one big party to celebrate the incredible life she has had. Please join us June 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. for a potluck celebration at 1006 Ten Mile Rd. Everson.
